How to Explain Being Fired
Sometimes the reasons we are let go aren’t so bad and telling prospective interviewers what happened is a good idea. Just try to avoid defending yourself because that’s when it starts to make you look bad. But if you can objectively tell interviewers what happened in just a few short sentences, they’ll usually understand and not hold it against you.
The key is to be objective, don’t blame anyone, and most of all, don’t defend yourself.
