Interview tips and suggestions for 50 to 60 year olds

Good Morning Don….

I am an Executive Assistant, 58 years old and single…the company I
work for has just been taken over by Sun Capital…I do not know if I
will be laid off…my updated resume is 80 percent finished…what
suggestions or lessons can you provide for a woman of my age, excellent
worker with excellent skills sell herself on any interview…thanks

Hi Karen,

Don’t let your age bother you. If you see it as a problem, then your
interviewer will too. I just spoke with a woman last week who was 55
and she asked me if she was too old to look for a job and I told her
that if she were 80 she might want to slow down a bit, but other than
that, press on.
