Mr. Georgevich,
Good morning! I have had about 4 interviews since last summer and
haven’t been selected yet for a new position. Over the weekend I began
reviewing your guide and found it to be very helpful.
I work in a military environment and really didn’t see questions that I
normally see during an interview. Below you will find some general
questions I’ve been asked. Can you provide any responses which may help
with further enhancing my interviewing skills?
Thanks very much in advance for your assistance.
1. Describe your supervisory and leadership experiences over the past
five years from a Personnel Management perspective. Focus on your
ability to apply basic processes of administration, principles, and
standard practices of management and techniques of organization,
direction, coordination, and control.
2. Describe your opinions and experiences on providing support in a
customer Service environment. Explain how customer demands that
conflict with organization direction would be addressed. Discuss your
abilities to establish and maintain diverse teams and enduring strategic
alliances.
3. As a manager or supervisor, one of your jobs is to provide direction
and leadership for a work unit. Describe how you have accomplished this
in the past. Include specific leadership examples of establishing team
objectives, priorities and processes, and the impact your team had.
4. How would you describe the terms strategic planning and strategic
thinking? Give examples of any strategic planning you have done and the
impact.

Hi Yvette,
I would be happy to coach you on your own answers and then you’ll have a
much better idea how to answer each of these questions plus any similar
questions you may be faced with.
Here is what I suggest concerning your questions: Use The Complete
Interview Answer Guide to come up with your own answers to these
questions and send them back to me. I will then review and critique your
answers and let you know what I think. Sound good?
Some of these questions are very specific and may not apply to everyone.
Best regards,
Don
