Hello Don,

I think, hope, your interview questions & answers will help me get the job this time around.

Given that I already know the interview panel for next weeks interview, I have already prepared a follow-up interview thank you letter,

I have attached the letter, let me know what you think.

Hi Faith,

I’ll take a look at your follow up letter for after the interview and get back to you tomorrow.

Why did you capitalize every word in your thank you letter?

Best,

Don
————————————————————————-
Hello Don,

I capitalized the first letter of every word for ease of reading.  Many years ago I was advised to do this with my resume to make it easier to read.

Hi Faith,

I have reviewed your thank you letter and made a few changes.

Capitalizing the first letter of each word makes it very difficult to read.  This is a marketing tactic and advertisers will commonly capitalize the first letter of each word in a headline for an advertisement – so that it jumps out at you more, but never in the body of their text and you should never do this in the business world of correspondence – it’s just not done.

I would strongly recommend you un-capitalize everything on your resume and cover letter.  I can guarantee you are raising eyebrows with everyone who reads your resume – wondering why you did this.

I have reworked your thank you letter and put it into a standard business letter format and suggest you keep it that way.  I made a few adjustments to your content, too.  But do un-capitalize everything and re-read your cover letter to make sure I did not make any errors.

Good luck on your interview and I hope you get the job.

Best regards,

Don
